Area of Responsibility
- Assist in conducting targeted interviews and workshops to capture user needs, and ensure accurate documentation of stakeholder requirements
- Participate in design discussions to capture software specifications, and aid in creation of process documentation
- Develop, refine, and document code for new software applications, following detailed design specifications to meet user requirements
- Execute test plans, analyse outcomes, and report defects to the development team, to facilitate enhancement of software performance
- Support the integration of new software features, facilitating smooth transitions within the existing system infrastructure
- Monitor and troubleshoot live applications, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and creation of comprehensive documentation for ongoing system maintenance
- Systematically document coding practices, testing methodologies, and technical solutions, thereby enriching team's knowledge repository
Required Skill and Experience
- Strong hands-on operational knowledge of: Manage access and governance controls across Azure Portal, Entra ID/AD groups, RBAC, Key Vault/secret scopes, platform components including Databricks workspaces/cluster policies, ADF/SHIR, ADLS ACLs/zones
- Serving as the escalation owner for P1/P2 platform incidents and change coordination
- Azure Data Factory (ADF) (pipeline monitoring, triggers, activity failures, reruns)
- Databricks (job/workflow execution monitoring, logs, cluster behavior at an ops level)
- Monitoring/observability experience with Splunk and/or Azure Monitor / Log Analytics / App Insights
- ITSM discipline using Ivanti (or similar): incident lifecycle, SR handling, change/RFC workflows
- Batch scheduling/monitoring familiarity with Tidal (job chains, calendars, dependency failures, rerun controls)
Preferred Skill and Experience
- Root cause (RCA) analysis and troubleshooting
- Runbook and SOP development
- Databricks and ADF platform admin
- Security, access management
Additional Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
- Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
