About the role

AWS is seeking a database specialist Solutions Architect to advise public sector customers on complex database migration and modernization projects. The role involves combining technical expertise with customer-facing consulting skills to architect solutions that drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end database solutions for public sector customers
• Lead complex database migration assessments, performance optimization engagements, and architecture reviews
• Provide strategic technical guidance to customers through 1:1 advisory sessions and 1:many enablement workshops
• Drive database service adoption and revenue growth by contributing to go-to-market strategy, creating reusable technical content, and mentoring field Solutions Architects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather customer feedback, influence database service roadmaps, and ensure customer requirements are translated into product enhancements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

Qualifications

• Cloud Technology Certification (Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional, or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
• Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base, and industry verticals
• Experience working with end user or developer communities
• Knowledge of cloud architecture
• Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies

Pay

Base salary range: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
