Database Product Manager - Tech Delivery

This job is responsible for maximizing the value for one or more products. Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with product owners or specialists to ensure they are aligning on priorities. We are seeking skilled and motivated Database Product Manager to support the Core Technology Infrastructure organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the managing a portfolio of database services offered by Core Technology Infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Generates the vision and roadmap for the program based on customer requirements, industry trends, regulations, and the strategic direction for the business or technology domain
- Communicates the program vision and roadmap to stakeholders, product owners and the teams
- Oversees the budget(s) for one or more products by working closely with finance partners on both personnel and non-personnel expenses
- Provides input into defining business capabilities and aligning them to products or creating new products to support them
- Ensures product availability by partnering closely with demand and capacity teammates
- Develops business cases for new products and additional features for existing products
- Partners with the product owners and the teams to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and subject-matter expertise and understanding of the business and industry trends
Requirements
- Database Technologies Familiarity: Relational DBs (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL / Modern DBs (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB), Specialized DBs (Graph: Neo4j, Document-based, Key-Value stores)
- Licensing and Contractual Management: Software licensing and compliance, Management of software contracts and financials
- Software Lifecycle Management: Patch management, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning, End-of-support (EOS) and end-of-life (EOL) management
- Vulnerability Security Management: Understanding of database security risks, CVEs, and remediation strategies, Experience with patching, encryption, and access controls
Desired Qualifications
- Product Ownership: Managing a portfolio of database services as products, Defining service offerings, roadmaps, and lifecycle strategies
- Strategic Road mapping: Creating multi-year plans for automation, modernization, and risk reduction
- Automation Platform Engineering: Driving automation for packaging, testing, and deployment (CI/CD pipelines)
