Database Engineer

Duties and responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Respond to staff requests for support, followed up with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solutions.
• Collaborate with IT team members to ensure department success.
• Aid in the design, deployment, and maintenance of data center, network, and end-user infrastructure.
• Work with end users, management, and clients to assess and execute the needs of the business.
• Document solutions and track support requests using a helpdesk and project management tool.
• Manage tool updates, mitigate vulnerabilities, apply patching, and ensure proper security measures are taken.
• Develop technical documentation including requirements and user manuals where needed.
• Manage workload and work cohesively to achieve the greater goal.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer programming, computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of Database experience.
• 3+ years of Network and PC Maintenance experience.
• 3+ years of Virtual Server experience.
• History of process improvement and problem-solving.
• Programming knowledge and experience.
• Good verbal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Strong desire to learn.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience with Active Directory.
• C#, .NET 6 (or higher), Python.
• SQL.
• VMWare.
• PowerBI.
• Salesforce.
• Bluebeam.
• AutoCAD.
• Plexus.
• Industry leading certifications from Microsoft, VMWare, ITIL, Cisco/Aruba, AWS.
