Database Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Database Engineer to join our expanding software organization. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of Microsoft SQL Server development experience, including data modeling and T-SQL development. Additionally, 1-3 years of SQL Server Integration Services development and 1-2 years of SQL Server AlwaysOn configuration/management are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Owners, Scrum teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend solutions
• Lead data modeling efforts and guide teams in database design
• Optimize performance across queries, indexing, and stored procedures
• Develop and enhance ETL and data warehouse processes
• Apply and uphold database security best practices
• Assist engineers learning to develop stored procedures
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation
• Support field teams with database-related issues
• Contribute to business continuity planning and testing

Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant work experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

• Knowledge of SQL Server AlwaysOn configuration/management

Benefits

Competitive compensation package including a salary range of $120,000 to $140,000 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
