Database & Automation Analyst
About the role
This role involves identifying and connecting internal/external databases within multiple data warehouse tools. Responsibilities include working with external database administrators and the data support team to connect data sets using APIs, Power Apps, or bots. The analyst will maintain data syncs, develop dashboards, document and implement changes, and ensure data quality metrics and data architecture are up-to-date.
Responsibilities
- Work with external database admins and data warehouse support team to sync databases
- Maintain data sync quality
- Structure large data sets to find usable information (Mapping)
- Design and modify data infrastructure to accelerate data analysis and reporting
- Maintain data management plans and instructions for operating complex business systems
- Evaluate the design, selection, and implementation of database changes
- Map and join together multiple siloed, desperate data sets using Palantir Foundry (pipelines), Advana, and Power BI DAX
- Update data architecture/model as needed
- Construct Power Automate Flows
- Data analysis: Develop creative methods to join multiple, disparate datasets to produce meaningful insights, collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data, establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions, and develop Power BI dashboards to showcase analysis
- Soft skills: Work in high-pressure situations, solve problems, and maintain attention to detail in an ad-hoc team environment
Requirements
- Active and current SECRET federal security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 5 years of experience working with large amounts of data
- Experience building AI agents and using AI to produce outcomes
- Knowledge of data management and reporting, data visualization technologies (Power BI, Databricks, Palantir Products)
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Qualifications
- Experience working in the Federal/DoD IT environment
- Experience in IT and Financial data management or USAF Financials
- Coding skills in Python, R, SQL, or other languages (a plus)
- Experience with statistical software
- Experience with Automated connections to multiple systems
- Experience in finding inefficiencies and deploying automated solutions to streamline outputs
- Financial systems knowledge
- Technical writing skills
- Knowledge of modern database and information technologies
- SharePoint design and administration (a plus)
