Database Analyst
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Aid in database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting activities
- Monitor system health, backups, data integrity, and security compliance
- Work with development and analytics teams to support Analysis Services (SSAS) solutions
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
- Perform data transformation and ETL-related activities using SQL and related tools
- Optimize queries, indexes, stored procedures, and database structures for improved performance
- Participate in database upgrades, migrations, and patching activities
- Document database configurations, procedures, and operational processes
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Analyze system performance metrics and recommend improvements
Required Qualifications (Mid-Level)
- 2-3 years of experience in database administration including hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, data modeling, MDX/DAX
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL), including complex queries, stored procedures, and basic performance tuning
- Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts and reporting best practices
- Ability to independently gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective, user-friendly Power BI solutions
- Comfortable troubleshooting data quality, performance, and reporting issues in an existing environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data insights to non-technical users
Work Schedule
The work week is typically Monday through Friday, with business hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. After an initial 90-day training period and upon management approval, there will be some flexibility for remote work.
Salary Range
The salary for this position typically ranges from $24.00-30.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and other factors. Please note that the final offer may differ based on the candidate's specific qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity and business needs.

Occasional meetings, collaborative discussions, and business activities may contribute to variations in noise levels.
