Core Skills & Experience
- Operating Systems & Scripting - 5+ years of UNIX/Linux experience
- Advanced knowledge of: Shell scripting
- Exposure to Python scripting (preferred)
- Database Technologies - 3+ years of experience with: NoSQL / Distributed databases
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with: Cassandra, SingleStore, CockroachDB, Redis, TigerGraph
- Cluster & Distributed Systems - Expertise in: Cluster management, adding/removing nodes, replication strategies, consistency tuning, multi-data center (multi-DC) configurations
- Cloud, Containers & Platforms - Experience with: Red Hat OpenShift, Linux-based container platforms
- DevOps & Automation - Familiarity with DevOps tools such as: BladeLogic, Ansible
- Operations & Production Support - Experience managing: Development, performance, and production environments
- Strong background in: Production support, high-volume, enterprise-scale environments
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain distributed database systems
- Manage and optimize database clusters
- Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability
- Support multiple environments (dev, test, prod)
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams
- Implement best practices for database operations and automation
