Database Administrator Engineer Portal
About the role
The Database Administrator Engineer Portal supports comprehensive database management and design for the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) C5ISR ESI Directorate. This role involves providing technical, engineering, analysis, and developer support for various tasks including CAD, FEA, CFD, simulation, testing, instrumentation, and experimentation, data analysis, and operational implementation.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering, technical, and operational advisors with knowledge of Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy related to evolving and emerging threats.
- Develop application of instrumentation and analytical techniques for system evaluation, supporting experimentation and system development.
- Maintain Government unclassified and classified knowledge management portal sites accessible to Government-approved Contractor personnel, Government personnel, approved agencies, and partner nations.
- Post products/reports to each of the knowledge management portal(s), ensuring they are accessible based on classification.
- Move previously released products/reports to each knowledge management portal(s), again based on classification.
- Coordinate with product/report authors to tag each product/report with appropriate tags, keywords, and/or metadata.
- Provide version control to products/reports to ensure stakeholders have access to the most up-to-date information.
- Structure information with clear categories, tags, and metadata.
- Monitor discussion forums, commenting sections, and rating systems to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Organize information/products/reports in a way that is easily digestible to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) with 8 years of experience, or Associate’s Degree (AS/AA) with 10 years of similar experience.
- Demonstrated experience with DBMS design, system analysis, and programming, current operating systems, software internals, data manipulation techniques and languages, and current DBMS technologies.
- TS/SCI clearance required.

- Experience managing government programs.
Skills
- Knowledge of evolving and emerging threats, including improvised explosive devices and unmanned aircraft.
- Ability to develop and apply instrumentation and analytical techniques for system evaluation.
- Expertise in maintaining and updating knowledge management portals.
- Proficiency in tagging, categorizing, and structuring information.
- Experience with monitoring and fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Ability to organize information for easy digestion.
Benefits
Base salary range: $115,253 - $139,044. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may be available.
