Database Administrator - DBA (Remote)

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a remote Database Administrator on a contract basis. This role involves managing and optimizing database systems to ensure high performance, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain database systems to meet organizational needs.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient query execution and resource utilization.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks and data corruption.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with database design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database services and virtualization technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
