Database Administrator

Overview

VTG is seeking a NALCOMIS Database Administrator in Patuxent River, MD to support the PMA-274 Presidential Helicopter program.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of functions using the Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS)
• Maintain and manage print requests and printer configurations
• View and monitor system information
• Broadcast messages and manage log-in capabilities
• Monitor server processes and schedules, reject jobs, add, edit, and delete pre-defined jobs
• Maintain system security and advise on matters pertaining to NALCOMIS
• Input, extract, analyze, and validate maintenance data
• Develop and interpret management reports, monitor data, and related interface requirements
• Maintain, issue, and dispose of aircraft, engine, and component equipment logs and records, and inventory records including aircraft and engine reports
• Administer the aircraft configuration status accounting program and verify aircraft utilization reports
• Comply with all current sections of the DCMAINST 8210.1 and CNAFINST 4790.2 series

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a Management or Business discipline
• AS or AA degree plus four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a BA/BS or six (6) years of experience may be substituted for a BA/BS
• Five (5) years US Navy/US Marine Corps/US Coast Guard O-Level/I-Level CNAFINST 4790.2 series aircraft maintenance support experience as a DBA/A
• Experience supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and Integrated Test Teams (ITT) is preferred

Qualifications

• Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance and YW access
• Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance and YW access
• Individuals released from Military Service with other than “Honorable Discharges” do not meet minimum qualifications
• Experience must be within the last five years
• All personnel must be U. S. citizens

Pay

VTG’s estimated salary range is $80,000 - $100,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
