Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade DB2 LUW Database servers on Linux.
- Set up database disaster recovery (HADR).
- Implement database server encryption using DB2 native encryption and IBM Guardium.
- Manage database authentication and authorization.
- Monitor and optimize database performance using tools such as db2expln, db2advis, db2top, db2diag, and db2pd.
- Handle database backup and log management; restore databases from incremental/full backup images.
- Manage database storage space (tablespaces) and memory (bufferpools); perform database capacity planning.
- Design and implement database changes according to business requirements; roll out changes to various database environments with releases.
- Move data across various database environments.
- Create triggers, stored procedures, functions, and indexes based on application requirements.
- Perform logical data modeling and generate ERDs using Erwin.
- Load data and resolve errors using load and import utilities.
- Profile and cleanse data using SQL statements.
- Perform database maintenance activities such as runstats, reorg, snapshots, and prune logs.
- Write and maintain bash/shell scripts and cron scheduling.
- Basic knowledge of ETL and associated processes.
- Lead initiatives and manage teams if required.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent.

Pay
$120,000 - $150,000 per year
