Database Administrator

About the Role

Support and administer diverse database environments, including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL platforms, for critical enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage Oracle RDBMS environments, including Grid Infrastructure and Data Guard.
• Oversee database operations across multiple platforms, ensuring system reliability, performance, and data integrity.
• Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery tasks using RMAN, snapshots, and archive logs.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to systems, databases, hardware, and networks.
• Create ad-hoc SQL queries for diagnostics and analysis.
• Maintain Linux OS and file systems, develop administrative scripts, and conduct server audits.
• Manage user accounts, ACLs, and support system changes while ensuring compliance with security and policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service and participate in after-hours support as needed.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on expertise with Oracle infrastructure, cloud services, and Linux.
• Experience with database management, automation scripting, and AWS services.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• IT security experience within accredited environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Oracle Cloud Certification.
• Experience with PeopleSoft and geospatial products.
