About the role

The Role Drive execution and delivery of IT projects for an electric utility client. Support the MS SQL Database Environment, working with Project Managers and other resources to meet commitments and deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases across environments, including installation, configuration, upgrades, backup/recovery, and High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions.
  • Provide world-class application support to clients for multiple utility company applications.
  • Resolve complex issues requiring expert technical knowledge of SQL Databases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a similar field with 4+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Database Administrator, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong core SQL DBA skills across all versions of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Databases.
  • Experience with architecture models, database creation, backup & recovery, performance tuning, and integration.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to create, modify, and diagnose stored procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and with minimal supervision.
