The most competitive candidate is a hands-on Oracle Database Administrator with experience supporting both standalone Oracle environments and databases integrated with Oracle E-Business Suite.

Technical Scope

Experience

Three years of increasingly responsible relational database administration experience, including two years of direct administration of Oracle or MS SQL databases in a client-server environment.

Training

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, management information systems or a closely related field. A combination of formal education and directly related work experience may substitute for the degree. The city assesses 1.5 years of fulltime experience as equivalent to one year of education.
