Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and securing database systems.
  • Setting up and managing cybersecurity measures.
  • Updating and monitoring server hardware and software.
  • Configuring and preserving database integrity.
  • Identifying and resolving database performance issues.
  • Conducting database capacity planning.
  • Implementing and maintaining database monitoring tools.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience supporting databases in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Student Information System (SIS) experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server, ETL, and MySQL.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance.
  • Advanced understanding of enterprise applications and their dependencies.
  • Excellent documentation habits and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with reporting groups across campus.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience supporting databases in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems, including Microsoft SQL Server, ETL, and MySQL.
