About the role

This is a continuous recruitment exam for the position of Data/Web & Information Systems Administrator. Candidates who meet the qualifications will be placed on an eligible list for future vacancies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain web-based applications and information systems.
• Administer and optimize databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with departments to assess system requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement upgrades or patches.
• Develop and enforce data management policies and procedures.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in web development, database administration, or information systems management.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, PHP, or .NET.
• Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
• Knowledge of web development frameworks (e.g., Django, Laravel, ASP.NET).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Special Requirements

• Must be a resident of the municipality or willing to relocate upon hire.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license may be required.
• Successful completion of a background check and/or security clearance may be required for certain positions.
