Data Warehouse Developer

Tallahassee, FL – Local candidates highly recommended. 6 to 9 month contract, onsite 5 days a week with flexible working hours. Interview will be face-to-face.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise-level analytical reports, dashboards, and data models using Microsoft Power BI, including advanced report design, paginated reports, performance tuning, and DAX.
• Write and optimize advanced SQL queries, including CTEs, window functions, and analytical queries.
• Design and implement star schema and fact/dimension models.
• Tune Snowflake environments, including clustering keys, compute optimization, and cost control.
• Manage Snowflake RBAC, roles, warehouse sizing, and data governance.
• Build Power BI semantic models with strong DAX and clean dimensional design.
• Integrate Power BI with Snowflake and manage connection modes.
• Use Power BI Report Builder, manage workspaces, and optimize performance.
• Manage metadata, data lineage, and documentation.
• Embed Power BI reports into web or internal applications.
• Implement CI/CD for Power BI and version control (preferred).

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience developing enterprise-level analytical reports, dashboards, and data models using Microsoft Power BI.
• Minimum of 5 years of IT work experience in business intelligence tools and systems.
• Proficient in advanced SQL query writing and optimization.
• Strong understanding of star schema design and fact/dimension modeling.
• Proficient in Snowflake tuning, clustering keys, compute optimization, and cost control.
• Familiarity with Snowflake RBAC, roles, warehouse sizing, and data governance.
• Experience with Power BI semantic models, DAX, and clean dimensional design.
• Experience integrating Power BI with Snowflake and managing connection modes.
• Proficiency in Power BI Report Builder, workspace management, and performance optimization.
• Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and documentation.
• Experience embedding Power BI reports into web or internal applications.
• Knowledge of CI/CD for Power BI and version control is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields, or equivalent work experience. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
