Data Vizualization

We are seeking a Senior Data Visualization Developer with advanced Power BI expertise and an exceptional eye for visual design. This role is ideal for someone who understands that a great dashboard isn't just technically accurate—it should be intuitive, polished, visually engaging, and easy to understand at a glance. The ideal candidate combines strong Power BI development skills with a passion for dashboard design, data storytelling, user experience, color theory, typography, layout, and visual consistency. You will transform complex data into executive-ready dashboards and reports that help users quickly understand trends, insights, and opportunities. Key Responsibilities Design and develop sophisticated, user-friendly Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations Transform complex data into clear and compelling visual stories Establish consistent standards for color palettes, fonts, spacing, layouts, navigation, and visual hierarchy Create dashboards that balance aesthetics with usability and accessibility Partner with business stakeholders to understand the story behind the data and determine the best way to visualize it Improve and modernize existing Power BI dashboards for greater clarity, consistency, and impact Develop interactive features including drill-downs, filters, bookmarks, tooltips, and navigation Apply dashboard and UX best practices to create intuitive experiences for both executive and operational audiences Ensure visualizations accurately represent the underlying data and business metrics Create reusable dashboard templates, themes, and visualization standards Preferred Skills & Experience Advanced experience with Microsoft Power BI Strong portfolio of professional dashboards and data visualizations Expert understanding of dashboard design and data visualization best practices Strong visual design skills, including color theory, typography, spacing, alignment, and information hierarchy Experience with DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and Power BI performance optimization Ability to translate complex business requirements into simple, intuitive visualizations Experience designing dashboards for executive or senior leadership audiences Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Understanding of accessibility and inclusive visualization practices What we're really looking for: Someone who can look at a functional Power BI dashboard and immediately see how to make it cleaner, easier to navigate, more visually compelling, and more effective at telling the story behind the data. For recruiting this position, I would also ask candidates to provide a portfolio or screenshots of dashboards they've personally designed. This is one of those roles where I'd want to see their work rather than relying solely on a résumé.
