Data Strategy & Reporting – Working Capital Solutions Lead, Vice President
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced technology leader to head the Data, Reporting, and Analytics function within the Working Capital Solutions (WCS) domain, which includes Supply Chain Finance, Trade Finance, and Commercial Cards. In this role, you will define and execute the reporting and analytics strategy, design and deliver scalable data solutions, and select appropriate data platforms, reporting tools, and analytics technologies. You will support a wide range of business, regulatory, and operational use cases while ensuring data integrity, consistency, and governance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the data, reporting, and analytics strategy for the WCS domain
- Design and implement scalable, end-to-end data and reporting architectures
- Partner with stakeholders across product, operations, technology, and business teams to align data solutions with business needs
- Drive end-to-end data integration, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment across upstream and downstream systems
- Evaluate and select data platforms, reporting tools, and analytics technologies
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and timely delivery of actionable insights
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to align solutions with enterprise standards, scalability, and regulatory requirements
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of applications, data pipelines, and reporting frameworks
- Monitor, analyze, and improve application and data platform performance
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Support integration of third-party applications and services
- Conduct requirements analysis, assess technical feasibility, and contribute to business case development
- Oversee testing, validation, and quality assurance of solutions to ensure adherence to standards and requirements
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in technology within banking, financial services, or fintech
- 8+ years of experience in data modeling and designing data structures across various formats
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, ETL tools, and data platform development
- Proven experience working in regulated environments and matrixed organizations
- Strong background in enterprise data architecture, application development, and database design
- Experience in the Working Capital Solutions domain (Supply Chain Finance, Trade Finance, Commercial Cards)
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Familiarity with both relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB)
- Experience with monitoring tools, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
- Experience working in Agile environments and leading engineering teams
Technical Skills
- Advanced SQL and complex query development
- Expertise in data warehousing and ETL frameworks
- Strong knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture
- Experience with enterprise DBMS and stored procedures
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Strong understanding of DevOps workflows and CI/CD principles

Pay
The typical base pay range for this role is as follows: New York / New Jersey: $138k – $205k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.

Schedule
The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day.
