Data Standards Specialist
Job Responsibilities
- Obtain, analyze and resolve pricing issues including pricing discrepancies and pricing confirmations different than our system, and material set up issues such as invalid part numbers and discontinued items, within department established time tables.
- Gather information from outside sources and identify the necessary Material Master changes within SAP to align the vendor’s standard with item numbers and units of measure.
- Cook up, review and input the changes suggested by the Buying Center Management and Product Management, including Materials, Pricing, Info Records, and Source lists.
- Plan pricing updates for maintained vendors, including Global, Sales Org, and Plant level pricing.
- Meet goals and objectives set by management and ensure departmental standards are consistently met.
- Follow all policies as defined in the Company policy manual.
- Work with all co-workers and internal customers in a professional manner at all times.
Required Qualifications
- One to three years minimum experience in Purchasing/Inventory Control/Pricing Administration/Data Management or a BA or BS in business or related discipline.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all levels of management and associates.
- Strong organizational skills and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently and be detailed-oriented.
- Microsoft PC skills with heavy emphasis on Access and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Detailed or general knowledge of the welding and/or safety industry, including business processes and product knowledge is a plus.
