Data Specialist (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Specialist to join our team and contribute to improving our systems and data. This role offers the opportunity to build valuable experience at a fast-paced, high-growth startup during a critical early product development stage. The primary focus will be ensuring our systems are accurate, up-to-date, and scalable.

Responsibilities

• Transfer data from paper-based documents or other digital formats into our ERP system.
• Review and validate data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with source documents.
• Update existing records, correct errors, and ensure data integrity.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and document system requirements.
• Analyze existing data and reporting, identify issues, and propose improvements or new solutions.
• Test and implement new or updated systems, ensuring they meet requirements and function correctly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or greater in Business Administration or a relevant field.
• High attention to detail to minimize errors in data entry.
• Strong organizational skills to keep data structured and accessible.
• Proficiency in using databases, spreadsheets, and other data management tools (preferred: ERP systems like NetSuite and Google Sheets).
• Effective communication skills to resolve data discrepancies with team members.
• Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data inconsistencies.

Pay

$33 - $36 per hour.
