Data Scientist - Senior Consultant
About the role
Guidehouse is seeking a Data Scientist Consultant with up to 10% travel and a cleared background for a national security setting. The ideal candidate will analyze large and complex data sets, conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses, and provide human resource/workforce analytics.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex data sets, including conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses.
- Provide human resource/workforce analytics, including data collection, data cleaning/transformation, and data visualization/analysis using a variety of quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques.
- Identify and use a variety of data gathering techniques (e.g., extracting data from human resource information systems via Oracle/SQL).
- Collect Organizational and Employee data needed for workforce analytics, leveraging Oracle/SQL scripts and utilizing software such as Python and Oracle Developer 11g to extract data from organizational systems.
- Utilize data visualization tools, including but not limited to Tableau, to help interpret and facilitate understanding of data analysis, and provide clearly written products for customers to assist in data-driven business making.
Requirements
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a FULL SCOPE (FS) polygraph.
- A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of THREE (3) years of relevant data science and/or data analyst experience in a national security setting.
Qualifications
- At least eight (8) years of relevant experience in a national security setting.
- A Master's degree in a relevant field or discipline (preferred).
Skills
- Operate with minimal oversight and maintain professional client-service polish.
- Leverage Oracle/SQL scripts and utilize software such as Python and Oracle Developer 11g to extract data from organizational systems.
- Utilize data visualization tools, including Tableau, to interpret and facilitate understanding of data analysis.
- Provide clearly written products for customers to assist in data-driven business making.
