Data Scientist, Principal (Senior Software Developer; Systems Software)

About the role

This position requires a strong foundation in Python and experience with Docker and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in Defensive Cyber Operations and 3+ years of Machine Learning techniques and statistical model evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Experience with end-to-end workflows/projects
• Defensive Cyber Operations experience
• Machine Learning techniques and statistical model evaluation
• Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 8 years of experience; an advanced degree will be considered in lieu of years of experience
• Demonstrated expertise with R or Python, and SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large and small data sets
• Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services), Cisco (CCNA), and/or STIGs/IAVA, Big Data Platform (BDP)
• Strong background and skills in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)/Windows/Virtual environments
• A problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use engineering skills to determine a solution

Qualifications

Desired Master's degree in relevant field and 4 years of experience
