Data Scientist - Multiple Levels (TS/SCI with Poly Required)

About the role

The Red Alpha Data Science practice is dedicated to solving complex data-driven problems for our Department of Defense clients. We combine technical expertise with business acumen and soft skills to deliver pragmatic solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers to understand and solve their data challenges.
• Develop and maintain data products and dashboards.
• Attend weekly team meetings to prioritize tasks and collaborate with peers.
• Use R, Python, Git, Mongo, and other tools to analyze and interpret data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Proficiency with R or Python.
• Experience with data science techniques and algorithms.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Entry-level: 0-3 years of experience.
• Mid-level: 3-6 years of experience.
• Senior-level: At least 6 years of experience, including 3 years of team management.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Java, C, or other compiled languages.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL, Spark, Hadoop.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and web development frameworks.
• Familiarity with Docker, GitLab, and React.
