About the role
The Red Alpha Data Science practice is seeking a Data Engineer to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to various aspects of the data science lifecycle, including data integration, analysis, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Integrate systems using scripting languages such as R or Python
- Conduct research and analyze large volumes of data from multiple sources
- Employ advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to prepare data for analytical processes
- Explore and examine data for hidden patterns and trends
- Develop and deploy software and scripts to collect and analyze business-relevant metrics
- Identify and implement new approaches to automate data collection, consolidation, and analysis
Requirements
- Proficiency with a scripting language such as R or Python
- Experience with data science techniques and algorithms such as classification, clustering, random forests, and others
- A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Entry-level: 0-3 years of experience on Data Science projects
- Mid-level: 3-6 years of experience on Data Science projects
- Senior-level: At least 6 years of experience on Data Science projects with 3 years of experience managing teams
- TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Experience with Java, C, or other compiled languages
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL, Spark, Hadoop, JavaScript, and React
- Experience with Agile processes and structures
Skills
- Experience in identifying, developing, and deploying new approaches to automate data collection, consolidation, and analysis
- Proven ability to develop and deploy software and scripts needed to collect business-relevant metrics based on enterprise data

Pay
The salary range for this role is $95,000 - $235,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
