About the role

A leading global alternative investment manager is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to partner directly with senior Portfolio Managers across its fundamental equities platform. This is a front-office role focused on generating differentiated, alpha-driving insights through alternative data, advanced modeling, and AI.

Responsibilities

• Frame and test high-conviction investment hypotheses
• Analyze structured and alternative data (Python & SQL)
• Build time-series models and earnings-driven forecasts
• Develop and rigorously validate new investment signals
• Leverage LLMs and AI tools to enhance research workflows
• Deliver clear, decision-ready insights to senior investors

Requirements

• 2+ years in data science, alternative data, or quantitative research
• Strong Python & SQL skills
• Solid foundation in statistics and time-series analysis
• Clear communicator who can translate technical work into investment impact
• Financial markets exposure preferred
