About the role
Perform data analysis and develop analytical solutions using tools such as Python, R, Snowflake, SQL, Databricks, Power BI, GIS, and other modern analytics platforms to address complex client business challenges. Partner with utility clients and Guidehouse subject matter experts to define business objectives, analytical approaches, technical requirements, and actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement data, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions that support utility clients' business objectives.
- Translate business needs into scalable analytical workflows, data products, dashboards, visualizations, and decision-support tools.
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, helping clients gain confidence in data-driven decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- One (1) or more years of professional experience applying data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or related quantitative techniques to solve complex business problems.
- Experience with analytical and data management tools such as Python, SQL, R, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, GIS, or similar technologies.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets and developing analytical solutions from concept through implementation.
Skills
- Experience supporting electric, gas, water, or other energy-sector organizations.
- Strong communication and consulting skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights and recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with utility business functions such as customer programs, DERs, electrification, asset management, operations, regulatory planning.
- Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms, data engineering, AI, machine learning, geospatial analytics, or optimization techniques.
- Experience developing dashboards, data products, or decision-support applications for business users.
- Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment.
- Master's degree or relevant certifications in analytics, cloud technologies, or data engineering.
Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $89,000.00-$148,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
