Data Scientist - AI/ML (Senior Software Developer; Systems Software)

About the role

This position is for a Senior Software Developer/Data Scientist specializing in AI/ML. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in Defensive Cyber Operations, 3+ years of Machine Learning techniques and statistical model evaluation, and an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement machine learning models using Python or R
• Work with large and small data sets using SQL and other tools
• Use AWS services for cloud computing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems
• Write and maintain Jupyter Notebooks
• Perform network analysis using appropriate tools

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 8 years of experience; an advanced degree will be considered in lieu of years of experience
• Master's degree in relevant field and 4 years of experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with R or Python, and SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large and small data sets
• Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services), Cisco (CCNA), and/or STIGs/IAVA, Big Data Platform (BDP)
• Strong background and skills in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)/Windows/Virtual environments
• Able to solve problems independently and work effectively in a team environment
• Experience with Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and Network Analysis Tools

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 8 years of experience; an advanced degree will be considered in lieu of years of experience. A Master's degree in relevant field and 4 years of experience is desired.
