About the role

As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, you will develop capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model emphasizing automation, streamlined processes, continuous monitoring, and network data gathering across the entire project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance automated capabilities that replace manual security evaluation and authorization processes.
  • Use Python to process, analyze, and validate security-related data, ensuring systems and resources meet security requirements.
  • Detect anomalies and outliers to assess progress through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle.
  • Identify system associations for resources based on various attributes and known system information.
  • Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines to collect and integrate data from multiple sources (network sensors, security tools, compliance databases).
  • Transform and prepare data for reporting, analysis, and automated assessments.
  • Support data engineering operations including data quality checks, pipeline monitoring, workflow optimization, and timely delivery of security insights.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's and Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering or computer science).
  • Experience: Ten years of experience analyzing datasets and developing analytics, and ten years of experience programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.
  • Additional qualifications: Two years of experience in software development, cloud development, analyzing datasets, or developing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics can be substituted for a Master's degree. A PhD from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline can be substituted for four years of experience.

Technical Skills

  • 10 years analyzing datasets and developing analytics.
  • 10 years programming in R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.
  • Desired skills: Strong background in statistical analysis, experience developing, tuning, and testing predictive models, proficiency in creating analytic dashboards, visualizations, and charts, Elasticsearch, RegEx, Machine learning, Natural Language Processing, Regression and predictive analysis, MATLAB or R, SQL or MongoDB, Metric Database (Grafana/Graphite/InfluxDB).
