We're the TikTok Monetization Products Data Science team, enabling and championing data-driven decision-making. Our vision is to become a world-class data science team where data is used rigorously to drive all decision-making. Our mission is to drive monetization and sustainable revenue growth for TikTok through data science. Responsibilities

  • Work with large and complex datasets to solve challenging business problems using a range of analytical methods.
  • Design, analyze, and interpret projects end-to-end, from data requirement gathering and data processing to modeling and developing impactful business recommendations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities that leverage advanced analytical and modeling techniques.
  • Design, execute, and interpret experiments, including A/B testing, to generate actionable insights.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to team leadership and influence strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Individuals who are completing or have recently completed a PhD degree in a quantitative field, such as Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Analytics.
  • Experience with data querying and manipulation using SQL, Python, or R.
  • Experience with data analysis using a scripting language such as Python, R, or MATLAB.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or project experience in data science.
  • Research experience in data science.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and solve problems creatively.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to translate analytical insights into business impact.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, culturally diverse, and globally distributed team environment.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $216,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
