Data Reporting and Analytics Consultant III

This role supports the development and execution of Medicare market strategies through rigorous analysis, planning, and cross-functional collaboration. The consultant manages components of large-scale projects, conducts market assessments, and delivers actionable insights to inform leadership decisions. Strong analytical skills and clear communication are leveraged to synthesize data into dashboards, reports, and decision-support materials. Success requires adaptability, influence without authority, and proficiency in tools such as Excel and Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Supports data analysis interpretation by applying findings to contextual settings; developing reports and presentations to influence decision-making.
• Develops, implements, and automates business and reporting solutions by designing and planning with stakeholders; creating summary statistics; organizing reports, visualizations, and BI tools; and documenting processes.
• Prepares data for analytic efforts by consolidating, reviewing, and cleaning data; profiling inaccuracies; and creating final datasets.
• Supports data-informed decisions by consulting with clients to identify business needs; translating requirements; determining data collection methods; developing analysis plans; and measuring impact.
• Supports creative data analytic approaches by identifying metrics; calculating algorithms; and conducting descriptive, correlational, inferential, and predictive analyses under guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Social/Physical/Life Science, Business, or related field and minimum three (3) years of experience in data analytics or a directly related field. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree.
• Proficiency in data extraction, data mining, data visualization tools, relational database management, and statistical programming languages.
• Strong skills in ambiguity management, attention to detail, communication, critical thinking, collaboration, decision-making, and problem-solving.
• Ability to drive results, influence others, and adapt to change in a matrixed organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of regulatory experience.
• One (1) year of experience working in a matrixed organization.

Pay

$80,400 – $103,950 per year. Actual base pay determined at offer based on labor market data, internal alignment, and candidate qualifications.

Schedule

• Full-time, standard worker location.
• Scheduled weekly hours: 40 (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM).
• Flexible work setting with occasional travel (10% of the time).

Primary location: Georgia, Atlanta (Regional Office – 9 Piedmont). Worker location must align with Kaiser Permanente’s Authorized States policy.
