About the Investment Implementation Department
The Investment Implementation department is responsible for implementing Bridgewater's investment strategies and client portfolios. This department ensures the excellence of our systematic investment approach, from raw data to executed trades, with processes and logic that reflect our full investment insight. They also oversee both daily operations and long-term system renovations.
Responsibilities
- Activating, advocating, executing, and assisting in the systems, sourcing, supply chains, and internal demand we use to provide and maintain inbound fuel and internal investment asks of the practice.
- Dynamically understanding the world of offerings, known and unknown to Bridgewater, creating potential matches, indications of interest, and bringing structure from the external world into Bridgewater.
- Understanding and effectively communicating the state of specific pieces and slices of the sourcing portfolio, including market making and matching, as well as knowledge bases of passes, no bids, and deferred opportunities.
- Assisting in the building, maintenance, and rapid sorting of inbound and run-state assets within the sourcing portfolio.
- Engaging as we rapidly introduce a ML/AI aspect to our Research and Data world discovery process designed from first principles.
- Creating and assisting in initiatives to improve the quality, reliability, and efficiency of the systems you own or are part of.
- Continuously evaluating and enhancing processes for sourcing, vetting, and delivering content to investment professionals, Data/AI scientists, and processes at scale.
- Advocating with existing and potential vendors to improve the quality of their pitches.
Qualifications
- A 4-year degree from an accredited undergraduate institution.
- 3-7 years of relevant work experience at an investment bank, vendor/service provider, or asset management firm.
- Experience in at least two of the following: Relationship Management, Service Management, or Supplier Knowledge Management.
- Experience with Capital Markets market data (a plus).
- Quantitative methods familiarity (a plus).
Physical Requirements
The anticipated onsite requirement for this role is three days per week at our Westport, CT campus and one day per week at our NYC campus.
Compensation
The wage range for this role is $170,000 - $225,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary target bonus. The expected base salary for this role is between 70%-80% of this wage range.
