Data Quality Engineer

For our client, a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Data Quality Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action—strengthening data-driven execution in a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated data testing frameworks and validation pipelines
• Develop and execute data validation routines to ensure data accuracy and reliability
• Design automated reconciliation processes between source and target systems
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to integrate testing within ETL/ELT pipelines
• Leverage AI tools to enhance test development, validation, and efficiency
• Support enterprise test environment management and validation across various stages
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in data quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent work experience considered
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, testing, or database development
• Expertise in SQL, Informatica, IICS, Snowflake, Oracle, Python, and automated data testing methodologies
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end test strategies for data pipelines and distributed platforms
• Deep understanding of data governance, security, and compliance principles

Pay

$99,000 – $164,800 annually
