We are hiring an experienced Data Movement Platforms Administrator to join the Lilly team located at our Corporate Center in Indianapolis, IN. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Platform Administrator for Lilly’s core data movement and integration platforms, including IBM MQ, IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), Aspera, and Axway B2Bi.
  • Lead the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of these systems that form the backbone of our internal and external data exchange.
  • Ensure the high availability of our messaging and file transfer services, automate operational tasks, and provide expert support to both internal application teams and external partners, ensuring data moves seamlessly and securely across the organization.
  • Lead the administration of the IBM MQ environment, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and management of objects like queues, channels, and listeners.
  • Run and support integration flows using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) for data transformation and system connectivity.
  • Administer specialized data transfer platforms, including high-speed file transfer solutions (Aspera) and B2B gateways (Axway B2Bi).
  • Configure and run secure data exchange with external partners using protocols like SFTP, FASP and AS2/AS3/AS4.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) to streamline operational tasks, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Implement and run security configurations across platforms, including firewall rules, DMZ setups, SSL/TLS certificates, and key-based authentication.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting complex data flow, performance, and connectivity issues, performing deep root cause analysis.
  • Lead the platform lifecycle, including planning for upgrades and new deployments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience administering enterprise messaging or data movement platforms.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with IBM MQ administration.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.

Skills

  • Deep expertise in administering the IBM Integration Suite, particularly IBM MQ (including MQFTE) and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
  • Proven experience with managed file transfer (MFT) solutions and high-speed transfer platforms (e.g., Aspera).
  • Expertise in the administration of B2B gateway platforms (e.g., Axway B2Bi) and associated protocols (SFTP, AS2/AS3/AS4).
  • Strong proficiency in both Linux and Windows server administration.
  • Advanced scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation of operational tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience with platform upgrades, configuration, monitoring, and security patching in both Linux and Windows environments.

Schedule

  • Hybrid role located at Corporate Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
  • Work Schedule: Tues, Wed, Thurs onsite; Mon, Fri remote.
  • Coverage hours 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm EST with weekend on-call hours on rotation.
  • Less than 5% travel.

Pay

The anticipated wage for this position is $126,000 - $224,400. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
