Data Modeler

About the role

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining data models that support the organization's data strategy.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions using data modeling tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, business analysts, and project managers to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Ensure adherence to data modeling standards and best practices.
• Work with data architects and other stakeholders to maintain and update existing data models.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures.
• Participate in agile development processes using tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Implement continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices using Git and Bitbucket.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in data modeling, preferably with Informatica and Hadoop.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Experience with ETL technologies like Informatica Power Center.
• Understanding of data warehousing and data governance concepts.
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques and methodologies.
• Experience in designing and implementing complex data models.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Computer Science degree.

Pay

$100,000 - $120,000 per year
