About the role

We are seeking a Data Modeler to design and develop logical and physical data models for Data Warehouse and Data Mart layers in Snowflake. This role involves translating business requirements into data models, performing data analysis on source data, and ensuring data consistency, integrity, and quality during ingestion.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop logical and physical data models for Data Warehouse and Data Mart layers in Snowflake.
  • Translate business requirements into structured data models (logical and physical).
  • Perform data analysis on source data to develop relevant models.
  • Develop SCD1, SCD2, and SCD3 dimension data models and data warehouse structures.
  • Define data entities, attributes, and relationships based on business requirements, data sources, and analytical needs.
  • Map source data structures to target data models and schemas, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
  • Validate transformations and model outputs using strong SQL skills.

Requirements

  • Strong experience working with Erwin Data Modeler for conceptual, logical, and physical models.
  • Expertise in Snowflake data warehousing concepts, including staging, curated layers, and marts.
  • Insurance domain expertise in areas such as Underwriting, Policy Administration, Claims, and Reinsurance.
  • Experience with Data Vault Modeling, Master Data Management (MDM), Metadata Management, Canonical Data Models, Data Governance, Data Lineage, and Data Quality Frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AWS and Azure Cloud Platforms.

  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to collaborate effectively with business SMEs, project teams, and leadership across multiple functions.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in data models, relationships, naming conventions, and data definitions.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify data issues, assess impacts of system changes, and recommend effective solutions.

The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary target for the position across all US locations.
