Fixed Term Contract/Secondment until 31 March 2027, full-time (36 hours per week). Hybrid working in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

About the role

An exciting opportunity in our Data, Measurement & Business Intelligence Team. You will work alongside teams across Healthcare Improvement Scotland, providing expert advice and support on using quantitative data about the quality of care. This includes:

  • Using data as an integral part of our work supporting those delivering health and social care across Scotland to redesign and continuously improve services.
  • Using data to inform our external quality assurance of these services.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse, interpret, and use complex quantitative data about the quality of health and/or social care.
  • Provide expert advice and support to teams across Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
  • Support programmes at various stages of development, working efficiently and effectively to tight deadlines.
  • Build effective collaborative working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level with additional experience in analysing, interpreting, and using complex information.
  • In-depth knowledge and recent practical experience of using quantitative data about the quality of health and/or social care.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Skills

  • Experience of coding (e.g., using R) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement methodology is an advantage.

Pay

Band 7 (£52,845 - £61,466).
