Fixed Term Contract/Secondment until 31 March 2027, full-time (36 hours per week). Hybrid working in Edinburgh or Glasgow.
About the role
An exciting opportunity in our Data, Measurement & Business Intelligence Team. You will work alongside teams across Healthcare Improvement Scotland, providing expert advice and support on using quantitative data about the quality of care. This includes:
- Using data as an integral part of our work supporting those delivering health and social care across Scotland to redesign and continuously improve services.
- Using data to inform our external quality assurance of these services.
Responsibilities
- Analyse, interpret, and use complex quantitative data about the quality of health and/or social care.
- Provide expert advice and support to teams across Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
- Support programmes at various stages of development, working efficiently and effectively to tight deadlines.
- Build effective collaborative working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level with additional experience in analysing, interpreting, and using complex information.
- In-depth knowledge and recent practical experience of using quantitative data about the quality of health and/or social care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Skills
- Experience of coding (e.g., using R) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of quality improvement methodology is an advantage.
Pay
Band 7 (£52,845 - £61,466).
