Data Mart Developer

About the role

This position is for a Data Mart developer focused on the ACH Data Mart and other data-mart initiatives within the broader Data Mart & Modernization program. The role requires strong financial/payments domain knowledge and technical expertise to implement and enhance the ACH Data Mart, providing technical mentorship for planned improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support ETL/ELT processes, scalable data pipelines, and robust data integration frameworks.
• Support analytical data models with pre-aggregations and drill-down capabilities.
• Develop data mart structures to meet reporting, analytics, and regulatory requirements.
• Design, develop, and support real-time and near real-time data processing pipelines.
• Implement data quality controls (accuracy, completeness, timeliness).
• Optimize database systems, queries, and data processing techniques.
• Apply data modeling (dimensional and relational), data warehousing, and big data architecture principles.
• Work with Microsoft Power BI for data modeling, DAX, optimization, and visualization best practices.
• Integrate AI/ML applications in data lake/warehouse environments, with knowledge of medallion architecture.
• Ensure data security and compliance in cloud environments.
• Implement authentication and authorization at the application level.
• Optimize performance across data pipelines and systems.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
• 10+ years of extensive knowledge of database systems and analytics concepts.
• 10+ years of strong proficiency in scripting/programming languages, preferably Python.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including data services and storage solutions.
• 5+ years of experience in data modeling (dimensional and relational), data warehousing, and big data architecture.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI (data modeling, DAX, optimization, visualization).
• 5+ years of experience developing data mart structures for reporting, analytics, and regulatory needs.
• 5+ years of experience with AI/ML applications in data lake/warehouse environments.
• 5+ years of experience designing and supporting real-time/near real-time data processing pipelines.
• 5+ years of experience implementing data quality controls.
• Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and performance optimization in cloud environments.
• Good understanding of application-level authentication and authorization.

Nice to Have

• 5+ years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in the payments domain.
• Experience aligning models with ISO20022 standards, BIAN domains, and enterprise data taxonomy.
• Experience integrating data across multiple payment rails (e.g., ACH, Wires, RTP, FedNow, Zelle).
• Experience building unified data models for cross-rail analytics and reporting.

Pay

$100,000–$120,000 a year
