Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and impact-driven Data & Evaluation Analyst to champion data integrity, advanced reporting, and program evaluation across our Health Equity portfolio. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex datasets and real-world impact—designing dynamic dashboards, establishing robust quality controls, and translating data into clear, actionable insights that drive executive decision-making and support community-led initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Data Strategy & Analytics: Design, implement, and continuously elevate data collection, management, and reporting systems across the Health Equity portfolio.
  • Dashboards & Visualization: Develop, maintain, and scale interactive dashboards and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to streamline performance monitoring and executive reporting.
  • Actionable Insights: Analyze quantitative and qualitative datasets to uncover trends, evaluate program efficacy, and deliver data-driven recommendations to internal leadership, funders, and community partners.
  • Data Governance & Quality Control: Establish and lead comprehensive quality assurance processes to guarantee data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data privacy and security standards.
  • Measurement & Evaluation: Partner with program teams to build logic models, establish KPIs, and design evaluation frameworks that measure the long-term impact of health equity initiatives.
  • Systems Integration: Manage departmental databases, supporting the integration of data across disparate platforms to enable robust longitudinal analysis.
  • Standardization & Training: Author and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), data dictionaries, and training materials to align the team on data best practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for ad-hoc data requests and collaborate with external vendors to continuously strengthen our data infrastructure.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data analysis and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, SAS, SPSS, R, or equivalent).
  • Data Visualization: Proven track record of designing clear, engaging dashboards and reports that synthesize complex data for diverse audiences.
  • Analytical Rigor: Strong capability in sourcing, validating, organizing, and interpreting multi-source, complex datasets.
  • Information Security: Proven experience handling sensitive, confidential information with a strict adherence to security and data privacy standards.

Core Competencies

  • Strategic Analytical Thinking: The ability to look beyond the numbers, connecting data and evaluation metrics directly to organizational health equity goals.
  • Translation & Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with a knack for translating complex quantitative findings into compelling, non-technical narratives for external stakeholders and funders.
  • Relationship Building: A collaborative, consultative partner who can work effectively alongside multidisciplinary teams, leadership, and external community partners.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: A self-starter eager to identify inefficiencies and proactively build data-informed solutions to optimize reporting processes.
