Full-time

About the role

We’re developing the next generation of Colleagues! Join the data‑driven culture at Citizens and learn how we keep customers at the center of everything we do. This 10‑week summer internship supports innovative data & analytics initiatives across the bank.

Experience during the program

Interns split their time between two components:

  • Half of the internship is spent individually partnered with a host team within the data & analytics community, working on ongoing assignments such as data quality monitoring, metadata management, ETL support, data integration, SQL development, cloud‑based data tools, and exploratory data analysis—including reporting, dashboarding, and ad‑hoc investigations.
  • The other half is spent on a cross‑functional team with other Data & Analytics interns, colleagues, and business partners to deliver a real‑world project that experiences the full project cycle. Past projects have focused on enhancing the customer experience, optimizing business spend, identifying new market opportunities, providing business insights, model development, and engineering metrics & dashboarding.

Interns adopt a hybrid work structure and work out of one of our headquarters in Columbus, OH; Johnston, RI; or Boston, MA. Specific responsibilities and tools may vary depending on the host team.
