Data Management - Data Warehouse Modeler

About the Role

The project involves building an enterprise-wide data ecosystem where data is easier to find, understand, standardize, and reuse across different business units. This role focuses on logical and semantic data modeling to create consistent enterprise data definitions that support AI and knowledge management initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define, standardize, and manage enterprise metadata and data definitions across multiple business units.
• Work closely with data producers, business teams, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business processes.
• Create clear and consistent metadata, perform data discovery and mapping.
• Establish data quality and classification standards.
• Influence teams to adopt enterprise naming conventions and standards.
• Track project progress and manage stakeholder communication.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in data modeling with hands-on experience.
• Equal experience in logical, physical, and conceptual models.
• Strong metadata management skills.
• Experience with data quality rules, data classifications, data lineage, and attributes.
• Strong SQL proficiency (4/5).
• Experience with data modeling tools like Urban, ER/Studio, or Hike Code.
• Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some exposure to ontology.
• Experience in financial services domain.
• Understanding of ETL processes.
• Snowflake experience is nice to have.
