Data Intelligence - Engineer, Data Associate

About the role

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Data Intelligence - Engineer, Data Associate to join our talented team. This position is located in Columbia, MD and is a 12-month temporary to permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and validates existing routines and communicates impacts.
• Assists with data transformation, manipulation, and presentation to users.
• Works with Business Analysts, Business Intelligence Developers, Infrastructure Architects, and key business users to review, design, and develop data models and ETL processes.
• Supports the Software Engineering team with data analysis and validation using extensive SQL queries.
• Writes and executes ETL code, primarily complex SQL stored procedures, but with a strong ability to leverage other technologies.
• Partners with senior team members on the design, configuration, and implementation of Data Integration Framework.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and understanding of at least one programming language (i.e., SQL, NoSQL, Python), Proficient knowledge and understanding of data exchange formats, Proficient knowledge and understanding of database design and implementation concepts, Proficient knowledge and understanding of data movement concepts, Proficient ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems, Proficient excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Skills
