The Office of Criminal Justice is seeking a Data Infrastructure Architect to join our team in Manhattan. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the development and management of data infrastructure.
About the role
As a Data Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data infrastructure solutions that support the agency's mission. You will work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless integration and scalability of data systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data architectures using modern technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff members
- Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in data infrastructure
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture and design
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Strong understanding of database management systems and data warehousing
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with data modeling and normalization techniques
