Data Governance & Data Catalog Lead

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Data Governance & Data Catalog Lead to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will guide data and AI governance efforts across client engagements, with a strong focus on building practical operating models that can be implemented and sustained. The position will partner closely with executive stakeholders and delivery teams to translate governance strategy into clear execution. You will also help define risk management workflows, adoption tools, and implementation roadmaps that support scalable governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead data and AI governance workstreams and small teams
• Manage client relationships and facilitate executive discussions
• Implement and operate a data catalog platform
• Design governance operating models and decision processes
• Define implementation roadmaps linking strategy to execution
• Establish AI governance and risk management workflows
• Develop scalable tools such as templates and training materials to support governance adoption

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 7+ years of relevant experience in data governance
• Experience managing client workstreams and leading teams
• Familiarity with data catalog implementation and support
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder management
• Experience advising on AI governance concepts
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Pay

$130,000 – $216,000 annually
