This is a Contract position based in Cincinnati, OH.

About the role

The Data Entry Technician is responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining data in internal systems while supporting administrative and reporting functions. This role ensures data accuracy, maintains digital records, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support reliable business operations in a collaborative and supportive office environment.

The position primarily involves computer-based work, including extensive use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other internal systems such as ERP platforms and potentially Workday. The role typically requires remaining at a desk and working on a computer for up to 8 hours a day, with a focus on handling numerical and transactional data.

Responsibilities

  • Enter, update, and maintain data in internal systems, databases, and ERP platforms.
  • Review data for accuracy and completeness; identify and correct errors.
  • Organize and maintain digital files and records.
  • Perform routine audits to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Assist with reporting and basic data analysis.
  • Support finance and order entry processes through accurate data entry.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain data consistency.
  • Follow data security and confidentiality standards.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business systems.
  • Support ERP and Workday-related data initiatives as needed.
  • Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
  • Perform computer-based work for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of data entry, administrative, or related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience working with databases or data management systems.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Solid computer and keyboarding skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some college coursework preferred.
  • Experience supporting finance, order entry, or transactional processes.
  • Customer service experience in a data-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Workday.
  • Ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Adaptability to new systems, tools, and processes.
  • Interest in professional development and continued learning.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
