Responsibilities
- Accurately enter high volumes of financial and operational data into accounting and business systems.
- Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding before data entry.
- Aid in processing invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with data entry, payment application, and customer/vendor record maintenance.
- Maintain and update customer, vendor, and account information.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve data discrepancies as directed.
- Scan, organize, and electronically file financial documents.
- Generate reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
- Aid in month-end close activities by preparing reports and supporting documentation.
- Respond to internal requests for information and retrieve records as needed.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of financial information.
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting and finance team.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and data accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED required; an Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in data entry, administrative support, or an accounting-related role.
- Exposure to accounting functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, invoicing, billing, or reconciliations preferred.
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
