Data Entry Clerk I
Six Mile, LLC is seeking a Data Entry Clerk I to transcribe data into formats suitable for computer processing using keyboard-controlled data entry devices.
Responsibilities
- Operate keyboard-controlled data entry devices such as a computer.
- Work under close supervision and follow specific procedures or detailed instructions.
- Transcribe data from standardized source documents that require little or no selecting, coding, or interpreting.
- Verify the completion of received documents.
- Enter work requests into the Data Base Management System for review and approval.
- Reconcile recorded work against completed work orders.
- File paperwork for company records.
- Act as backup for other positions in the department.
- Assist with coverage of customer help desk during assigned hours.
- Perform all other relevant work duties assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable National Agency Check (T1).
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Basic Microsoft Office applications skills (e.g., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Must be able to clearly communicate in the English Language (read and write).
- Must be able to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of customer service.
- Must be able to drive a company vehicle and be insured.
- Ability to pass a drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to a military base.
- Reliable transportation to/from work is required to obtain access to military installations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced computer and data entry skills.
- Experience with CMMS programs, TMA, or Maximo.
- Accounting and customer service experience.
Work Environment
This job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The role involves maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods, though most of the time is spent sitting. Mobility is required to attend meetings, access shared resources, and collaborate with team members.
