Data Entry Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support order processing activities for a contract position based in Metairie, Louisiana. This role is ideal for someone who can enter information quickly and accurately while working with electronic records and business systems. The assignment is expected to last 2 to 3 months and will focus on maintaining timely, precise data updates in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:• Enter order-related information into electronic systems with a high level of speed and accuracy.• Process numeric and text-based data in real time to keep internal records current and reliable.• Review incoming information for completeness and correct obvious errors before final submission.• Support sales order processing by updating records across designated business platforms, including NetSuite where needed.• Assist with electronic data interchange activities by ensuring transaction details are recorded properly.• Maintain organized digital files and follow established procedures for handling business documentation.• Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily processing targets and project deadlines.• Help address data discrepancies by researching missing details and escalating unresolved issues when appropriate. • Previous experience in data entry, order processing, or a similar administrative support role. • Strong typing skills with the ability to enter both numeric and text data accurately. • Comfort working with computer-based systems and electronic recordkeeping tools. • Familiarity with NetSuite and EDI processes is preferred. • Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail. • Reliable communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. • All candidates are required to complete pre-employment screening as part of the hiring process.
