Data Entry Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support daily package intake operations in Somerset, New Jersey. This long-term contract position is fully on-site and focuses on accurately recording shipment information for incoming items to ensure they can be tracked and processed efficiently. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, has strong typing skills, and can maintain a high level of accuracy while handling repetitive tasks. Responsibilities:• Enter serial numbers, shipment details, and recipient information from incoming package labels into internal systems with a high level of accuracy.• Review packaging information carefully to confirm all required data is captured and recorded correctly upon receipt.• Log incoming hearing aid shipments promptly so processing teams can verify delivery and continue workflow without delays.• Compare label details against system entries to identify and correct errors before records are finalized.• Organize and manage a steady volume of packages while maintaining consistent productivity throughout the shift.• Communicate clearly with team members regarding incomplete, unclear, or mismatched shipment information that requires follow-up.• Follow established on-site procedures and data handling standards to support reliable package tracking and documentation. • At least 1 year of experience in data entry, clerical support, production, warehouse, or a similar detail-focused environment. • Typing speed of 40-60 WPM with strong accuracy preferred; 35-40 WPM is acceptable with the ability to improve through training. • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in order to interpret labels and enter information correctly. • Basic computer proficiency and confidence using data entry systems and standard workplace software. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform repetitive work accurately over extended periods. • Ability to work on-site in Somerset, New Jersey on a consistent schedule. • Dependable work habits and the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced operational setting.
